When we reviewed messaging for competing convention & visitors bureaus, we noticed many destinations showcasing delicious cuisine and fancy cocktails. We have that in Detroit, too, but to break apart from the pack, we shifted focus onto something no other destination has: the inspiring cast of characters who call Detroit home.
We’re the country’s largest Black-majority city, have the country’s largest Arab American community and a thriving Latinx community. More than anything else, it’s our people who set us apart and make us special. Meet Detroit’s Movers and Shapers, our new content series for Visit Detroit, proves just that.
