Seeking a Media Assistant to support the media team in planning, executing, and monitoring various media campaigns. This role requires a blend of creative and analytical skills, along with strong organizational capabilities to ensure the smooth operation of media projects. The Media Assistant works closely with media planners and buyers to deliver effective media strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Media Planning and Coordination:
– Assist in developing and implementing media plans.
– Coordinate with media vendors and agencies to ensure timely delivery of materials.
– Support the media team in scheduling and booking media placements.

Campaign Execution:
– Monitor ongoing campaigns to ensure they run smoothly and meet performance targets.
– Assist in the creation of media kits and other promotional materials.

Administrative Support:
– Handle administrative tasks such as media invoicing, budget management, clearing discrepancies, media buying and planning support

Communication and Collaboration:
– Collaborate with internal teams to align media strategies with broader marketing goals.
– Maintain strong relationships with external media partners and vendors.

Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
– Experience: Previous experience in a media-related role, internship, or relevant coursework.

Skills:
– Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in media planning tools and software (e.g. Media planning  software, Strata preferred).
– Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
– Familiarity with digital and traditional media channels.

What to know about SMZ’s current hybrid work model:

  • We require a minimum two days (all in on Wednesdays!) working in the office – but may require more due to efficiency and client service demands.
  • Being relied upon by clients and colleagues may require working evenings or weekends to meet client and project deadlines.
