Experiential Branding – A Visit to American Girl Place standard

Some 40,000 people were in the Windy City to run the Chicago Marathon recently, but they had nothing on the four of us who “sprinted” up Michigan Avenue to American Girl Place instead! Upon entering, it’s quickly apparent why American Girl is not called a “store,” but rather, a “place,” an “experience,” because it is that, and so much more.  American Girl helped me to experience so many things on so many levels. Ari Zirulnik graduated from the College of Wooster in 2011 with a degree in English. After a couple of years of directing for the stage, he decided that copywriting was more his style. He worked at Berline Advertising earlier this year and is very happy to be working with the SMZ creative team. In his free time he enjoys theatre, playing guitar, and using Oxford commas.

(Troy, MI) Jamie Michelson, president of SMZ (Simons Michelson Zieve Advertising Inc.), announced the hiring of Kristina Ljajcaj at the Troy-based agency. Kristina has joined the SMZ team as an account manager, working on the Michigan Lottery and Taubman accounts. She is a graduate of Oakland University and received her masters at Walsh College. She has joined the team with impressive experience, having worked at MRM Worldwide, Ignite Social Media, and Real Integrated on key accounts that include Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Fiat, The Henry Ford and Birmingham Principal Shopping District. Five WOWS From TEDx Detroit standard

  (Troy, MI) Jamie Michelson, president of SMZ (Simons Michelson Zieve Advertising Inc.), announced the hiring of Jackie Davis at the Troy-based agency. Davis has joined the SMZ team as traffic manager. She received her bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Detroit Mercy and also earned a certificate in radio and television broadcasting from Specs Howard School of Media Arts. Davis’ background is in sales as a media account manager. Prior to SMZ she worked for CBS Radio, Comcast Spotlight, WMYD and Gannett Digital, and was responsible for managing the advertising campaigns of local direct and agency accounts. (Troy, MI) Jamie Michelson, president of SMZ (Simons Michelson Zieve Advertising Inc.), has announced the hiring of Sara Soderstrom at the Troy-based agency. Soderstrom has joined the SMZ team as an account coordinator. She is a recent graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts degree in advertising.
