SMZ Advertising Wins Five Service Industry Advertising Awards
Troy, Mich. — (April 22, 2008) — Jamie Michelson, president of Simons Michelson Zieve Advertising (SMZ), announced the agency took home five awards at this year’s Fifth Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards ceremony recently.
Companies from all 50 states took part in the contest which was judged by a national panel of judges. Twelve groups and 27 categories of entries were rated on their execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal and overall breakthrough advertising content. More than 250 advertising agencies and 800 service institutions participated and close to 2,000 entries were submitted.
SMZ earned two gold medals, a silver medal and two merit honors in the categories of “Financial Services” and “Healthcare” for its work.
SMZ’s Flagstar Bank poster, entitled “Pick Your Term,” and the Flagstar radio advertising series, “Office Mates,” won the two gold medals. The Flagstar television advertising series, “Designed Around You,” won SMZ the silver medal.
SMZ’s radio advertising single for Flagstar, “Cal’s Convenience Store,” and its television advertising series for the Michigan Dental Association, “Mouth Trying to Tell You Something,” won the two merit awards.
